I moved to Colorado in March of 2001. I first visited the Centennial State in 1991 on a family vacation and instantly fell in love with the Rocky Mountains. That love has only grown over the years. And while the mountains still inspire me more than any other place, I’ve come to love Colorado’s cities and its Eastern Plains as well. It’s hard to imagine living someplace that has such a diverse offering of subject matter for photographers. These photos are an expression of my love for my adopted state.
These are the images that define how I feel about my adopted state. I love Colorado's cities but I'm never happier than when I'm out in the mountains or enjoying the wide open views of the eastern plains.
Pueblo is one of Colorado's most historic cities. Steel made this city and the EVRAZ Steel plant still make steel rails for railroads. I moved to Pueblo in 2016 and quickly realized what a fascinating city this was. It's been my goal to photograph the many unique and interesting places here.
