New Work: Autumn Splendor at Churchville

The maple tree next to the old Churchville Schoolhouse in Bensenville, IL is just about at its peak autumnal glory on October 26th, 2021.

I’ve been a bit remiss about posting some of my new work on my blog and website again. I’m not quite sure why that is. I guess part of it is that social media is just a bit easier. I need to remember that even on photographer friendly social media outlets like Flickr, I’m still a bit at the mercy of the powers that be on how my photos are displayed. When one thinks about all that is wrong with some of the other more popular places…well, let’s just say that the convenience comes with a cost.

I’ll try to get some of the new work posted here and get some of my galleries updated. It’s been awhile since I added any new work to them and I’ve actually done some work that I’m pretty proud of this year. This shot of the old Churchville Schoolhouse in Bensenville is just the most recent effort. I photographed this schoolhouse last year but was a little bummed that I had missed peak foliage on the glorious maple next to the building. Not so this year! Even with the strong storm system that passed through a few days ago, the tree looked simply gorgeous today!
