A great blue heron framed by out of focus goldenrod on September 4th, 2021 in Northern Illinois.

Just a quick shot taken today while out on a hike. This shot was made possible by inspiration from Ryan Davis, the photographer who shot our wedding. He took a picture of Amanda using some out of focus autumn foliage and I made a mental note of it. That technique worked very well on this heron standing in front of some goldenrod.
