One Image, One Story: Superb Sunset

It’s easy to focus on the negative when confronted with something like the current pandemic. It’s completely unknown and is wreaking havoc with our daily lives. Only heaven knows when it will end and what our lives will look like on the other side. All of that makes it very easy to conjure up and dwell on negative thoughts and feelings. I certainly have had a lot of that going on lately. I find that it’s very easy for me to get into a negative feedback loop with it and suddenly I’m spiraling into some dark mental places.

One tactic for fighting that effect is remembering that there have been a lot of good times in my life and there will be more again someday. Take this photo, for example. This sunset has to be in the top 5 that I’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Not only did I get to see such an awe inspiring phenomenon, I was blessed to have a camera with me and an iconic, beautiful old building to put in front of it. There are bad days in life but there are some really good ones, too.

That is a stellar image. I can imagine it hanging in our house.
