A Perfect Sky at Roggen

A BNSF manifest passes a coal empty at Roggen, Colorado on June 14th, 2010. The sky is a perfect mix of blue and light cumulus in this shot but the train will soon find it’s way into some stormier skies.

Illinois is currently under a shelter in place order as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. That has left me some free time for some projects that have been put off for far too long. One of those is organizing, tagging and geotagging stuff in my Lightroom library. One of the benefits of that is that sometimes I come across forgotten photos like this one from June of 2010. I did process this shot at the time but my post processing abilities have definitely become more refined with time. While I’m nervous about what the outcome will be with the virus and what the economy will look like once we’re past the pandemic, I’m going to try to make the best of what the situation is for the time being.
