New Work: Monarch in Bearded Beggarticks

A migrating monarch butterfly makes use of a large field of bearded beggarticks in early September, 2021.

The monarch migration seems to in full swing as we saw dozens of butterflies on a recent outing. This field of bearded beggarticks (also known as tick seed sunflower and a host of other names) attracted a lot of them.
