The last rays of soft, warm light on a January day illuminate a farm near Lee, Illinois.
Amanda and I took a drive out west yesterday. I wanted to get some better photos than I had of some of the elevators along the old CB&Q from Aurora towards Rochelle.
As the sun was getting low on the horizon, I noticed this farm south of Lee, IL. After processing it, I struggled with naming it. In the end, the simple title of “January” seemed to fit. The snow, the quality of the winter golden hour light, and the stubble in the field all seemed to speak to the month in which this was photographed. So I went with it.
